These Terms & Conditions govern every dumpster rental booked with Erie Dumpster by phone, online, or any other method. By placing a booking, you agree to these terms.
Booking & Confirmation
A rental is confirmed only after Erie Dumpster accepts your order and provides a confirmed delivery date, container size, and price. You must provide an accurate delivery address and project details. We reserve the right to decline any booking.
Pricing & Additional Charges
Our flat-rate quote covers delivery, pickup, and standard disposal. Additional charges apply for:
- Overweight loads a per-ton fee beyond your container’s included weight limit
- Special items TVs, monitors, fridges, freezers, AC units, water heaters, mattresses
- Rental extensions a daily rate applies if you keep the container past the agreed period
- Prohibited materials customer bears all removal and remediation costs
- Re-delivery a trip fee applies if delivery fails due to inaccessibility on your end.
Delivery & Placement
Same-day delivery is available for orders placed before noon, subject to availability. The customer must ensure the placement area is accessible, structurally sound, and free of overhead hazards. Erie Dumpster is not liable for incidental property damage (driveways, landscaping). If a public right-of-way permit is needed, obtaining it is the customer’s responsibility.
Rental Period
Standard rentals are 7–10 days as confirmed at booking. Extensions must be requested at least 24 hours before scheduled pickup. No refund is given for early returns or unused days.
Acceptable Use
Containers may be used for household junk, construction debris, roofing materials, wood, drywall, carpet, concrete, yard waste, and appliances without refrigerants.
The following are strictly prohibited:
- Hazardous chemicals, solvents, or cleaning agents
- Asbestos, liquid paint, or stains
- Propane tanks or compressed gas cylinders
- Medical, biological, or pharmaceutical waste
- Freon-containing appliances or refrigerants
- Motor oil, gasoline, or petroleum liquids
- Mercury-containing electronics
- Railroad ties or radioactive materials
Loading prohibited materials is a breach of this Agreement. The customer is fully liable for all resulting costs, fines, and penalties.
Customer Responsibilities
- Keep container accessible and in an approved location for the full rental period
- Do not load above the container’s fill line (top edge of walls)
- Do not move or allow others to move the container after delivery
- Notify Erie Dumpster immediately of any damage or safety concern
Cancellations
Cancel at least 24 hours before delivery at no charge. Cancellations within 24 hours may incur a fee. If a driver has already been dispatched, a trip fee applies.
Damage & Loss
The customer is responsible for damage caused by misuse, fire, overloading, or prohibited materials. Erie Dumpster is not responsible for theft of the container or its contents during the rental period.
Indemnification
The customer agrees to indemnify and hold Erie Dumpster harmless from any claims, costs, or damages arising from the customer’s use of the container, materials placed in it, or failure to comply with these Terms.
Liability Limit
Erie Dumpster’s maximum liability is limited to the amount paid by the customer for the specific rental at issue. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by Pennsylvania law. Disputes shall be resolved in Erie County, PA. We encourage customers to contact us directly at (814) 831-9600 before pursuing any formal process.
Changes
We may update these Terms at any time. The version in effect at the time of your confirmed booking governs that transaction.
